Hi, I’m gabriela starr.
For more than fifteen years, I've supported children, adults, and families navigating trauma, grief, and profound life transitions. But the most important things I know didn't come from my certifications. They came from living them.
I've been in the kind of rupture that makes you question everything you thought was solid. I've loved people through depression so heavy it took everything just to get them through a Tuesday. I've parented four children while quietly trying to outrun patterns I inherited from people who were doing the same thing, who inherited them from people who never had the chance to question any of it at all.
I know what it feels like to hear yourself and think: that's not who I want to be. And to not yet know how to be anyone different.
What I've learned is that intensity is not the enemy. Most of us aren't suffering because we feel too much. We're suffering because we've been carrying it all in a body that was never taught what to do with it.
I'm not here to fix you, diagnose you, or hand you a better coping strategy. I'm here to help you build the capacity to stay present with yourself when things get hard. To help you listen to what your body has been trying to say. To help you transform anger from something that controls you into something that finally makes sense.
I know what it is to stand in the fire and not know if the ground will ever feel steady again.
And I know that healing doesn't happen because someone pulls you out of the pain. It happens because someone knows how to stay beside you while you move through it.
That's what I do.
somatic rage coaching
You didn't create the pattern. But you're the one living with it.
Somewhere along the way, you decided you weren't going to be like them.
You weren't going to shut down when things got hard. You weren't going to explode and then pretend it didn't happen. You weren't going to pass this weight on to the people you love.
And yet.
There are moments, you know the ones, where you hear yourself and think: where did that come from?
There’s nothing wrong with you. This is your nervous system doing exactly what it was taught to do.
The explosive anger, the depressive shutdown, the overwhelm and anxiety that seem disproportionate to the moment — it isn't just yours. It's inherited. Layered. Carried in a body that absorbed what the people before you never processed.
Cycle-breaking isn't a mindset shift. It's a body thing.

group sessions
There is something that happens when you're in a room, virtual or otherwise, full of people who are also trying to stop the bleeding.
Group sessions (both in-person and virtual) combine somatic practice, nervous system education, emotional release, and community. Witnessing is a powerful experience.
Because healing doesn't only happen in isolation.
Sometimes it happens sitting in a room full of people thinking:
"Oh good. It's not just me."
Virtual group sessions kickoff June 24, 2026. Registration available soon! To be added to the waitlist, email: gabriela@kainix.org
who is this for?
Parents trying to break generational cycles.
Partners navigating conflict and repair.
Caregivers carrying invisible emotional labor.
Helping professionals who spend all day supporting everyone else.
Activists and community organizers.
People navigating grief, burnout, overwhelm, or major life transitions.
And honestly?
It's also for people who keep saying:
"I'm fine."
"It's not a big deal."
"I just need to push through."
"I don't even know what I'm feeling anymore."
If that sounds familiar, your body may have a different story to tell.
helpful information
-
Somatic Rage Coaching is not therapy, crisis intervention, or mental health treatment. It is a trauma-conscious, body-centred coaching approach for people building healthier relationships with their emotions and nervous systems.
-
Yes, this is for women, nonbinary, and queer folks. Most of the people I work with represent these gender identities and need spaces like this...
But the more I do this work, the more deeply I understand exactly how many men need to be doing it, too. So consider this my invitation—and maybe a little bit of a challenge.

Honestly?
Because the world is kind of a dumpster fire right now.
And while I know this work is valuable, I also know what it's like to stare at your bank account while carrying grief, rage, overwhelm, parenting stress, relationship stress, and the weight of trying to stay human in a system that makes that surprisingly difficult.
The full investment is $125.
Right now, I'm offering sessions for $55 because I believe access matters.
$55.
60 minutes.
A chance to stop carrying everything alone. The next generation doesn't need more adults who know all the right words.
They need adults who are willing to do their own work.
This is part of that work.
